When shall the voice of singing

When the worn spirit wants repose

When Thou, my righteous Judge, shalt come
When thy mortal life is fled.

Where are the dead? in heaven or hell
Where two or three, with sweet accord
While life prolongs its precious light.
While Thee I seek, protecting Power
While the heralds of salvation.
While with ceaseless course the sun
Who can describe the joys that rise
Who can forbear to sing

Why should the cross of Christ offend

Why should thy face, where mercies dwell
Why should we spend our youthful days

Why sleep ye, my brethren? come, let us arise
Why will ye waste, on trifling cares
Within these doors assembled now.

Within these quiet walls, O Lord

With willing hearts we tread
Would you win a soul to God

Ye angels round the throne
Ye Christian heroes, go, proclaim
Ye dying sons of men.

Ye earthly vanities, depart

Ye hearts with youthful vigor warm
Ye messengers of Christ

Ye humble souls, approach your God
Ye saints, your music bring
Yes, I have found 't is good for me
Ye sinners, fear the Lord
Yes, I will be forever thine
Yes, my native land, I love thee
Ye trembling souls, confession make
Ye trembling souls, dismiss your fears
Ye wretched, hungry, starving poor

Zion's King shall reign victorious
Zion stands, with hills surrounded

Prayer Meeting. - HOSKINS.

1 IN thy great name, O Lord, we come
To worship at thy feet;
O, pour thy Holy Spirit down

On all that now shall meet!

2 We come to hear Jehovah speak,
To hear the Saviour's voice;
Thy face and favor, Lord, we seek·
Now make our hearts rejoice.

3 Teach us to pray and praise, to hear
And understand thy word;
To feel thy blissful presence near,
And trust our living Lord.

4 Let sinners now thy goodness prove,
And saints rejoice in thee;

Let rebels be subdued by love,
And to the Saviour flee.

Dundee.

1 O, HOLY FATHER! 'mid the calm
And stillness of this evening hour,
We now would lift our solemn psalm
To praise thy goodness and thy power. !
2 For over us, as over all,

Thy tender mercies still extend;
Nor vainly shall the contrite call

On thee, our Father, and our Friend!
3 Kept by thy goodness through the day,
Thanksgivings to thy name we pour;
Night o'er us, with its stars-we pray
Thy love to guard us evermore!

4 In grief, console-in gladness, bless-
In darkness, guide-in sickness, cheer;
Till, in the Saviour's righteousness,
Before thy throne our souls appear.

Seeking the Lord. - HAMMOND.

1 LORD, we come before thee now
At thy feet we humbly bow;
O do not our suit disdain!
Shall we seek thee yet in vain?

2 Lord, on thee our souls depend-
In compassion now descend;
Fill our hearts with thy rich grace,
Tune our lips to sing thy praise.

3 In thine own appointed way,
Now we seek thee, here we stay;
Lord, we know not how to go,
Till a blessing thou bestow.

Wilmot.
