In der Nachzeichnung der Entwicklung dieser Konzeption aus der neoidealistischen Philosophietradition Englands und den USA zeigt die vorliegende Untersuchung, dass die Kohärenztheorie in ihrem Ursprung eine weitgefächerte philosophische Position darstellte, die mit dem Zentralbegriff der Kohärenz bzw. des Systems sowohl erkenntnistheoretische als auch ontologische Erklärungsarbeit leistete. Die Theorie der Wahrheit als Kernstück konnte dabei durch ihre logische Stringenz zu Recht zu einer der erfolgversprechendsten Wahrheitskonzeptionen der gegenwärtigen Diskussion werden. |
