7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the fame word are kept in ftore reserved unto fire against the day of judgement, and perdition of ungodly men.

8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

12 Looking for and haftunto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be diffolved, and the elements fhall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to his promife, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, feeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

3 That which we have féen and heard declare we unto you, that ye alfo may have fellowship with us and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jefus Chrift.

4 And these things write we unto you, that our joy may be full.

5 This then is the mesfage which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light and in him is no darkness at all.

6 If we fay that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth :

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jefus Chrift his fon cleanfeth us from all fin.

8 If we fay that we have no fin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9 If we confefs our fins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our fins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteoufnefs.

II For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and flew his brother. And wherefore flew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.

20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

22 And whatsoever we afk, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleafing in his fight. 23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jefus Chrift, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

2 Mercy unto you, and peace and love be multiplied. 3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common falvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you, that ye fhould earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the faints.

4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, un

godly men, turning the grace of our God into lafciviousnefs, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jefus Christ.

5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord having faved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward deftroyed them that believed not.
