Number in the almshouse during the year, 400; supported in other institutions, 452; wayfarers to whom meals were furnished at the almshouse, 21; receiving temporary (outdoor) relief, 1,624; total, 2,497.

Attached to the almshouse are 170 acres of land, 110 of which are reported to be under cultivation; estimated value of land and buildings, $40,700; estimated value of the products of the farm, $5,000; receipts from sales, $911.98; estimated value of the labor of inmates during the year, $800.

Expenses for the year, $13,863.37; estimated weekly expense per person, $1.93.

Total number in the almshouse during the year, 400 (297 males, 103 females); remaining September 30, 1914, 99, including 16 feeble-minded or idiotic, 10 blind and 3 deaf persons; number of wayfarers to whom meals were furnished at the almshouse, 21.

Established September, 1888; incorporated September 27, 1894. Objects. To so erect, establish and maintain a general and emergency hospital that persons who are afflicted with physical maladies or injuries, and are not otherwise suitably provided and cared for, may be received into such hospital and there provided with care, nursing, nourishment and medical attendance so long as they shall need treatment and care.

Terms and qualifications for admittance.- Free to patients upon recommendation of poor law officers; no contagious cases received.
