I..Paragraph I, General Orders, No. 13, War Department, January 16, 1908, as amended by paragraph I, General Orders, No. 67, War Department, May 2, 1908; by General Orders, No. 16, War Department, January 29, 1909; by paragraph II, General Orders, No. 74, War Department, April 24, 1909, and by paragraph I, General Orders, No. 70, War Department, June 1, 1911, is further amended so as to authorize the transfer to the unassigned list for artillery district staff duty under the provisions of paragraph 307, Army Regulations, of two lieutenants in the Artillery District of Galveston.

II. Paragraph II, General Orders, No. 171, War Department, October 26, 1908, which amended paragraph II, General Orders, No. 62, War Department, April 24, 1908, by designating Fort Hancock, New Jersey, as the headquarters of the Southern Artillery District of New York, instead of Fort Hamilton, New York, is rescinded and Fort Hamilton is again designated as the headquarters of that artillery district, to take effect August 15, 1911.

times for each gun.

Companies which did not qualify for long-range firing in 1909 are rated in the first practice of 1910 (1st and 2d practices with guns below 4-inch in caliber) next after companies which were advanced to long range for 1910 practice. Companies which did not qualify in 1809 or in the first practice 1910 (1st and 2d practices with guns below 4 inch în caliber) are rated in the 2d practice 1910, next after companies which were advanced.
