Resolved, That list of positions included in the labor class in the Albany County Almshouse be and hereby is amended by striking out the words, nurse at compensation not to exceed $15 per month," and substituting in lieu thereof the words, "nurse at compensation not to exceed $20 per month." Resolved, That the regulation classifying positions as laborers be and hereby is amended by striking out the following: "In the Conservation Commission: park caretaker, State Reservation, Saratoga Springs."

Resolved, That regulation XI, positions classed as laborers, be amended by adding thereto the words: "In the Suffolk County Sanatorium: cook's assistant; laborer; maid," competitive or non-competitive examination for said positions being found to be not practicable.

Resolved, That the regulation relating to the classification of laborers be and hereby is amended insofar as it relates to the employees of the Superintendent of the Poor, Monroe county, by adding thereto the word " porter," competitive or non-competitive examination for said position being deemed to be not practicable.

Regulation XIV

Resolved, That regulation XIV relating to leave of absence and reading as follows be and hereby is rescinded: "Any person holding a position in the competitive class for a period of at least three months, may be granted a leave of absence without pay for a period not to exceed six months. A person who resigns or is removed from the service while on leave of absence, or at the end of the six months period, shall not be eligible for reinstatement except within a period of one year from the date the leave of absence was granted. A person who has been out of the service on leave of absence within five months immediately preceding an examination for promotion will not be eligible to compete therein, unless otherwise ordered by the Commission, or to receive promotion within six months."
