turn over to the Interior Department certain parts of the Camp Douglas Military Reservation in the Territory of Utah.

S. 2061. An act to authorize the construction of bridges across the Mississippi River, one within the State of Minnesota, and one between the States of Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Also, that he did, on the 23d instant, sign and approve bills of the Senate of the following titles, viz:

S. 1758. An act for the relief of Charles M. Blake, a chaplain in the United States Army.

S. 1821. An act to authorize the Secretary of the Interior to examine and adjust the claim of E. W. Streeter for moneys expended and services performed in taking the census of Dakota in 1860.

S. 2045. An act for the relief of the Eastern Presbyterian Church in , the District of Columbia.

Mr. Dibrell moved that the House resolve itself into the Committee of the Whole House, for the purpose of considering general appropriation bills;

And the question being put, viz:
Will the House agree thereto?

And the House accordingly resolved itself into the Committee of the Whole House on the state of the Union; and after some time spent therein the Speaker resumed the chair, and Mr. Springer reported that the committee, having had under consideration the bill of the House (H. R. 8030) making an appropriation for the Agricultural Department for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1886, and for other purposes, had directed him to report the same with an amendment and a recommendation that the bill as thus amended do pass.

The House having proceeded to their consideration, and the question being upon agreeing to the said amendment;

Pending which,

Mr. Dibrell demanded the previous question; which was ordered, and under the operation thereof the said amendment was agreed to, and the bill as thus amended engrossed and read the third time.

The question then being upon the passage of the bill;

Pending which,

Mr. William H. Hatch demanded the previous question; which was ordered,
