2 Enter with all Thy glorious train, Thy Spirit and Thy word; All that the ark did once contain Could no such grace afford.
3 Here, mighty Lord, accept our vows; Here let Thy praise be spread; Bless the provisions of Thy house, And fill Thy poor with bread.
1 BLESSED Master! Thou art gone, But Thy church is not alone, Still Thy Comforter is here,
Till Thou come our souls to cheer.
2 Blessed Master! come away, Thus Thy brethren ceaseless pray, Sick of love, and hope deferr'd, We would hang upon Thy word.
3 Sweet it is while waiting here, Tho' unseen to feel Thee near, Sweet to hear Thy gentle voice, Bid the sorrowing heart rejoice.
4 Sweet Thy messages of love, Coming daily from above, But the loving, faithful heart, Longs to see Thee as Thou art.
1 BEFORE Thy cross, Oh dying Lord, I cast my soul and trust Thy love; Oh! here Thy saving power afford, And seal my pardon from above.
2 No threat'ning foes shall drive me hence, Helpless and fainting I draw near; Resolv'd (for 'tis my last defence,) If I must die, to perish here.
3 But, Saviour! for Thy mercy's sake, Relieve the anguish of my heart; The bruised reed Thou wilt not break, Nor bid the contrite soul depart.
4 Wash'd in Thy blood, I shall be pure; Cheer'd by Thy smile, shall feel no shame; Sav'd by Thy love, I stand secure,
1 BRETHREN! let us join to bless Christ, the Lord our Righteousness: Let our praise to Him be giv'n, High at God's right hand in heav'n.
2 Thee the angels ceaseless sing: Thee we praise, our Priest and King: Worthy is Thy name of praise, Full of glory, full of grace.
3 Thou hast the glad tidings brought Of salvation, by Thee wrought; Wrought to set Thy people free ;- Wrought to bring our souls to thee.
4 Oh! let us follow and adore
Thee, our Saviour, more and more; Guide and bless us with Thy love, Till we join Thy saints above.
1 BRETHREN, come, our Saviour calls us, Bids us to a feast of love;
Bless the Lord, whose bounty feeds us With provision from above. Ye for whom His life was giv'n, Come, and eat the bread of heaven.
2 Let us think of Him who bought us, 'Tis the Saviour's own command: When we wander'd, Jesus sought us, Now He leads us by the hand: Now He gives us hope, and says, We shall sing His endless praise.
3 O how much His people owe Him! O what love our Lord has shewn! Well may we surrender to Him
All that once we called our own: Lord, we give ourselves to Thee, Then our guide, our Master be.
1 BE with me Lord, where'er I go,
Teach me what Thou would'st have me do; Suggest whate'er I think or say, Direct me in the narrow way.
2 Enrich me alway with Thy love; My kind protection ever prove; Thy signet put upon my breast, And let Thy Spirit on me rest.
3 Assist and teach me how to pray; Incline my nature to obey;
What Thou abhorr'st, that let me flee, And only love what pleases Thee.
4 O let me never do my will,
But Thine, and only Thine, fulfil : Let all my time, and all my ways, Be spent and ended to Thy praise.
1 BEFORE Jehovah's awful throne,
Ye nations bow with sacred joy; Know that the Lord is God alone, He can create, and He destroy.
2 His sov'reign power, without our aid, Made us of clay, and form'd us men: And when like wand'ring sheep we stray'd, He brought us to His fold again.
3 Lord, in Thy gates with thankful songs, Our voices high as heaven we'll raise, And earth from her ten thousand tongues, Shall fill Thy courts with sounding praise.
4 Wide as the world is Thy command, Vast as eternity Thy Love:
Firm as a rock Thy Truth must stand, When rolling years shall cease to move.
1 BLOT out my sins, O Lord, Nor me in anger view; Within me a pure heart create, An upright mind renew.
2 Withdraw not Thou Thy help, Nor cast me from Thy sight; Nor let Thy Holy Spirit take His everlasting flight.
3 Could blood of beasts atone,
Whole flocks and herds should die; But on such off'rings Thou disdain'st To cast a gracious eye.
4 A broken spirit is
By God most highly priz'd; By Him a broken, contrite heart Shall never be despised.
