The Cersus Report contains the mill of the Delphi Mining Company, with ten stamps, driven b steam power, and that of the Kern River Mining Company, with sixteen stamps and one crusher, also moved by steam, neither of which I can identify in the above list.

According to the census A. C. Mack's mill, with five stamps and one arrastra, (silver,) and H. W. Walker's, with two arrastras, (gold,) are also in this county; in the same report Williams's is a five-stamp

mill.

In the above list the mills of the Idaho Company, at Grass Valley, containing fifteen stamps, and that of the Greenhern Company, eight stamps, appear to be omitted. They may, however, be recorded

under different names.
