By the urgent deficiency act:
The limit of cost of the heating, lighting, and power plant authorized and provided for under the sundry civil act approved April 28, 1904, is extended from $757,800 to $1,393,000, so that when said plant shall have been completed it will be of sufficient size and capacity to furnish heat, light, and power for the office building, House of Representatives, the Capitol building, the Congressional Library building, the office building, United States Senate, and for such other buildings as may hereafter be erected on grounds adjacent to the Capitol grounds at the east of the Capitol building and facing the same, and contracts are authorized to be entered into for said difference in limit of cost (p. 402). For the construction of a subway system to connect the office building of the United States Senate with the Capitol building, within the limit of cost of $168,500, contracts are authorized for (p. 402)
