rich, Father Lamian, a Jesuit priest, endeavours to convert Trefusis to the Catholic faith. He resorts to a deeplaid plot, in which the services of Elena Cantilena, a beautiful actress and model, are employed to carry out his evil scheme. His efforts are of no avail when Miss Martha Webster, a friend of Paul's wife, appears on the scene. The priest's sins find him out, and he is drawn in a tighter net than the one he has set to catch others.
