J. C. Skene's electric hemostat in vaginal hysterectomy. Since 1895, acting upon the suggestion of Dr. O. G. Cranston, of Paola, Kansas, as stated in a communication to "The Annals of Gynecology and Pediatry," it has been my endeavor in vaginal hysterectomy to avoid the use of ligatures and sutures.
