In its announcement of the Practitioner's course for 1906 of the Homeopathic Department of the University of Michigan, the college journal has the folowing to say of Dr. G. J. Jones:

"This year it is the intention to have an expert in înternal medicine, also one in surgery. Professor Gaius J. Jones, M. D., Dean of the Cleveland Homeopathic Medical College, has been engaged to give a few lectures and to hold a medical clinic. No living man has taught medicine to so many homeopathic students as Dean Jones. For many years he has been at the head of the department of internal medicine in the Cleveland College. In his special field, that of internal medicine, he is confessedly the best diagnostician in the city of Cleveland. Any one who has ever heard him lecture or seen him in the clinical amphitheatre could not but be impressed with his earnestness and the fact that all he says is the unconscious unfolding of his own experiences. There are very many graduates from Cleveland practicing in Michigan and vicinity who have been students of Doctor Jones and who will be pleased by this announcement. Dr. Jones will probably lecture on diseases of the organs of respiration."

*** The regular monthly meeting of the Cleveland Homeopathic Medical Society was held in the College Auditorium, Wednesday evening, Oct. 25th. The Executive Committee reported through the secretary, the action of the society in adopting the suggestion of Drs. Wood and Bishop to give a banquet in honor of Drs. J. C. Sanders and D. H. Beckwith.

Dr. H. D. Bishop reported as chairman of the banquet committee that all bills had been paid. Dr. J. C. Wood, in the absence of the chairman, Dr. Jewitt and secretary, Dr. Horner, reported for the "Cup Committee" that liberal subscriptions had been received from men all over the country, for the cups, and that the committee had experienced no difficulty in collecting the amount necessary.

Dr. L. E. Siemon, as a committee on 'place of meeting' reported that no progress has been made toward the erection of the new medical library building contemplated.

Dr. II. D. Bishop reported for the Milk Commission that the "Canfield Dairy" was the only one in the city supplying milk which complied with the requirements of the Commission.

Dr. A. B. Schneider, as one of the delegates to the Institute, reported that there had occurred nothing requiring any special action on the part of the delegates.

The Board of Censors reported the names of Drs. Biddinger of Cleveland and Damon of Medina, for membership, and they were elected.

Drs. D. H. Beckwith and H. H. Baxter, reported resolutions on the death of our esteemed co-worker Prof. R. J. Cummer.

The secretary read a letter from A. E. Silbernagel of Columbus, Secretary of the State Homeopathic Medical Society, stating that he was an applicant for the position of secretary to the State Board of Medical Examination and Registration recently vacated by Dr. Winders. Upon recommendation of a committee to whom the matter was referred, the society heartily endorsed Dr. Silbernagel's candidacy, and made known their recommendation by letter to the State Board and Governor Herrick.

The regular program of the evening was then taken up as follows:

Dr. Martha A. Canfield,-"Vibratory Massage."

Dr. Hudson D. Bishop,-"The Toxemias of Pregnancy."

Dr. B. B. Viets,-"Albuminuric Retinitis of Pregnancy, its Prognosis and Treatment."

Dr. J. C. Wood, "The Surgical Complications of Pregnancy and Labor."

All of these most excellent papers will appear in full, either in the present or some future edition of the REPORTER.

The next regular meeting will be held Nov. 15th, 8 P. M. Come, whether you live in Cleveland or not. You will feel repaid for the time and trouble.

EVERY LITtle bit heLPS.

"One of the spiciest little journals that comes to the Secretary is the American Medical Journalist. It contains many very readable articles, and its last issue seems to be chiefly directed against the various transactions of the American Medical Association, especially against the Journal. We rather think that there is a great deal of truth in what it has to say and advise all who wish to know both sides of the question to read it. It is published by D. A. O'Gorman, of New York."-From the Journal of the South Carolina Medical Association (published under the direction of the Publication Committee of the South Carolina Medical Association)' Charleston, S. C., Sept. 21, 1905.
