it was amazing

For me, this book started out as a required reading project for my Honors English Class. When I first saw the cover, I thought, "Why on earth would he make us read a children's book? We're 9th graders!" Boy, was I wrong. "The Little Prince" is, no doubt, a breakthrough literary piece. It amazes me how much meaning this book could convey in just a few short pages - not only to children - but people of all ages. "The Little Prince" makes a bold statement in terms of what it means to be young at heart, and narrows in on the concept that life is a mystery yet to be discovered. Just from reading this you would never know that this book is actually a "war story....not an allegory of war, rather, a fable of it, in which the central emotions of conflict—isolation, fear, and uncertainty—are alleviated only by intimate speech and love." Reading "The Little Prince" will gift you with the biggest epiphany of your life. Also, I highly recommend reading this book twice so that you can truly absorb the concept of each chapter.
